US Indian Wars Era Quartermaster Helmet

Item #50080 : Original era manufacture. Horstman contract felt body in very sound condition, no cracks or dents, the edge binding is intact, as is the thin leather band around the body. Pliable leather sweatband size marked 7, with Horstman contract stampings on the underside but no visible date.No extra holes behind the metal furniture, Staff plate with a German silver crossed key and quill overlay. Matched stamped brass side buttons. The only flaw to point out is an indentation in the left rear edge caused by long storage. Otherwise the helmet is near new.Assembled from original parts, at one time available from the venerable firms of Francis Bannerman and W. Stokes Kirk.

Price: $350.00
