Original period manufacture. A very nice WWI pattern Austrian steel helmet with nearly all of it's original paint finish remaining, portions of it's canvas chinstrap and a rather tattered original leather liner. There is a clear issue stamp on the inside of the neckguard. At some point, a previous owner decided to dress up the exterior of the helmet with a set of NSDAP SA decals. They are of good quality but we are stating that we believe the decals to be copies. The helmet paint, liner and chinstrap are period done. If you can figure out a way to remove the decals without marring the paint it's a good buy.
