Original era manufacture. A very sound example of the classic French steel helmet of WWI.Artillery plate on the front with a postwar applied brass visor decoration honoring the veterans service during the war 1914-1918. The helmet is complete with its original liner but is missing its chinstrap. Service use shows some light scattered denting to the shell,with about 90% original hand applied paint finish remaining. The brass visor decoration is secured on each side bya brass rivet on each side and one at center. Nice looking old helmet.
