Original period manufactgure. Chrome finished blade measuring 33 inches in length, no issues, very clean with the Eickhorn trademark under the ricasso. Gilded aluminum guard in good order showing a touch of grime in the recesses. Nice black plastic grip bound with triple strand aluminum wire. Dent free, black painted steel scabbard retaining most of it's original finish. Touch of surface corrosion at the throat with one of the fitting screws missing. This sword was one of many souvenirs brought home to the US after the end of WWII by Corporal R.D.Easler, 3468th Ordnance Company, US Army.
