Original period manufacture. A well used example with a 34 inch long wooden handle and a curved steel blade. The blade is rather thin at the point and has a postwar applied black painted finish. Don't think it is strong enough to dig a hole but looks great for display. Two rivet heads missing from the shovel blade.
