Original era manufacture. A rather tired looking, tan colored helmet with a green rubber lining. Simple brown plastic chinstrap and a green plastic sweatband. There are several nicks and dents to the rim, one looks like it might be a shrapnel hit. Faint writing appears on the front and rear visors, can't quite make it out. This helmet was part of a large uniform/equipment collection we recently purchased from a former USMC Captain who captured this helmet at Cua Viet in 1968. We have known the Captain for many years and have no reason to doubt his story. The Marine's name will be provided to the buyer of the helmet.
