US WWII Civilian Life Photo Album, Maps, Newspapers 1940-45, Arizona Content
Item #60323 : Original era photography. Nice lot of an 88 photo album and a number of maps and newspaper headlines printed during WWII, mostly from the Arizona Republic & Gazette in the1940s. The album appears to have been assembled by a young woman, showing her and her friends and family in Phoenix and in North Carolina. Lots of images of family members in the military, hand drawn cartoons, most photos are identified. The newspaper headlines cover the December 8th 1941 coverage of the Pearl Harbor Attack, VE Day in Europe, most of these printed in Phoenix. The paper backing of the album pages are in poor condition, the photos are fine, being held in place with small paper tabs, not glued down. The papers are sound.
