Item #64040 : Original era manufacture. A fine quality polished steel blade measuring 31 inches in length with etched panels on each side. The blade runs straight and true and is in beautiful condition, no issues, Retailers name on the reverse ricasso, Gieve's Ltd. Portsmouth, London, Edinburgh and Devenport. King's Crown on the reverse of the blade. Mix of gilding and brass patina finish to the guard and lion head pommel, the reverse side of the guard folds down and displays the following, T. Coates, R.N.R., providing a chance for some research. Sound black leather bodied scabbard with tight stitching, all fittings are in place. Current era sword knot missing it's acorn.
