US 1920's USMC Enlisted Dress Blue Uniform Coat & Trousers, Identified, Haitian Service
Item #65723 : Original era manufacture. An issue quality set, with a 1921-22 QM Depot stamp in the left sleeve and waistband, with 2-S size mark in each. All buttons are present, brass collar emblems in place, and no evidence of moth issues. Hand written name in ink in the right shoulder and waistband, R.J. Jeglie. Ancestry shows muster roll listings for Rudolph F. Jeglie for the years 1922-1925, with service at Marine Barracks Port Au Prince Haiti in 1923. Copies of these rolls are included. An old Marine once told me, "once you put on that uniform, you were instantly a gentleman".
