Item #66182 : Original era manufacture. Standard pattern Prussian Infantry enlisted helmet adopted in 1915.Gray finished metal fittings throughout, all retaining most of their original matt gray finish. Full leather lining, with no leather drawstring or chinstrap. Original stamped steel Prussian cockade, held in place with a steel chinstrap fitting. No National cockade. No extra holes behind the wappen, which is held in place with two leather wedges. Sound stitching to both the front and rear visors. Nicely unit marked and dated on the rear visor F.A.R.44 1916, indicating it was once issued to a Field Artillery unit. Somewhere during the past 100 years it's kugel top was replaced with a spike. A sound helmet regardless.
