Original era manufacture. Typical wartime pattern canteen with a brown painted aluminum bottle and canvas carrying harness. The canteen is well worn but sound, most of its original painted finish remains. Original metal and cork stopper in place, leather securing strap is missing. The canteen shows soldier wear with staining on the shoulder strap and a stitched name on the right side. The strap shows a clever soldier splice repair towards the top. At the bottom of the harness is a worn spot showing fraying, repairable, just takes a bit of patience and time. Good combat look to it.
