Original era manufacture. US M1878 Canteen with a tan canvas cover with a very clear US stencil on the obverse. The reverse displays the regiment number 17, the company letter H and below what appears to be MDNG. The canteen is complete with its original cork stopper secured to one of the triangular loops found on each side of the body. Lightly dented front and back but not terribly so and displays really well. A nice clean one.
