Original era manufacture.  A well made example of Trench Art, made from the base of a German 75 mm shell casing, displaying a 1917 date. The humidor stands 4 inches in height, with a nicely finished snug lid, and pine cone finial. The top and bottom of the humidor have very ornate copper bordering. Overall a very high degree of ability is exhibited here by whoever fashioned this.
