This is a 1/6 plate Ambrotype in a full case with one hook in the center for closure. The case depicts two birds in a wreath and has an embossed red velvet pad.The image is of a mother and son. The mother has bottle curls. The son sits in his own chair hanging on the each side.The lock of hair has been sitting behind the imgage since the 1850s.The Ambrotype has been blackened in the shape of the people.
