Original era manufacture. Miniature RAF pilot's wing in gilded alloy, measuring 42 mm in width. The reverse is marked in raised letters, Official-Bundles For Britain-By Monet. "Bundles For Britain" was founded in 1940 as a knitting society in New York city by Mrs Natalie Wales Latham. Within 16 months it grew into and organization of 975 chapters with over one million contributors. Mrs Latham was awarded for her efforts by being invested by King George VI as an honorary Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 1946; the first non-British subject to ever receive this honor.
