Original period manufacture. Issue quality wool with enlisted pattern yellow cording with black flecks, on the front, and down the seam of each leg. Simple white cotton pocket and waistband lining. Button front fly, and suspender buttons, one of which is missing. Top stitch decoration on the pocket openings, with watch pocket. Numerous inkstamps on the cotton lining, some of which are costume house. All of the buttons are of French manufacture. Being these came from a costume house, these might not be of Austrian manufacture, rather of French origin. However, they now are trimmed out in the Austrian fashion and would be quite sound for display. Waist measures 38 inches, inseam is 28.5 inches. No holes or tears, however stained from wear and use.
