Original period manufacture. Light weight blue wool twill coat with madder red cuffs, collar and piping; silver bullet-type buttons denoting the 8th Regiment of Ulans. Three silver stars on each side of the collar indicating the rank of Hauptman, or Captain. The front pockets are false, pointed flaps only, with the only functioning pocket being the interior chest pocket, left side. White silk body lining, with red silk lined skirts. Gold on black silk Vienna tailor's label on the inside. Missing the "waterfull" decorative wire trim on the tail. Size about a 40 regular.
