Original era manufacture. Four pocket coat, with pointed flaps, hidden button front, of a pattern adopted in 1906. The coat retains the red braided cuff decoration of earlier pattern coats, but with the collar style for 1906. The wool is of dark blue, but in bright light it has a decided greenish shade to it, perhaps from dye changes over the years. There is a plain, square ended matching wool material strap on each shoulder, which once were secured with plain brass buttons, of which, only the shank of one remains. Hidden button front which is secured with 6 plain plastic buttons. The coat is unlined, likely intended for wear during the warmer months, with full sleeve lining, and a very nice Budapest tailor's label on the inside pocket cover. At some point in the past, non-functioning buttons were sewn to the front of the coat, now only the threads remain to show their placement. No moth issues to report, the coat is about a size 38 long.
