Original era issue. Lot consisting of a cased Order of Leopold, Commander Grade with neck ribbon, cased Order of Leopold Officer Class, no ribbon, a framed presentation document for a 1st class award dated 1892 to a member of the Belgian Consulate in New York and lastly a framed portrait of a man wearing a US Army Spanish-American War tan cotton coat, with staff collar emblems and unusual rank emblems on his shoulder straps. The Order of Leopold Commander grade is a fine quality order with it's original purple silk neck ribbon and issue case, there is some minor enamel loss, mostly on the reverse, and the bottom of the cross is bent slightly forward. The Officer grade award is also in it's original case and appears to be free of damage but missing it's ribbon. The award document is signed for the King by the Minister for Foreign Affairs. The frame is loose and needs some attending to. An interesting grouping worthy of further research.
