Belgian, Franco-Prussian War Era Shako, 3rd Regiment?

Original era manufacture. A French inspired shako of molded cardboard covered in a dark blue, almost black wool, with a black leather top and visor. White metal numeral 3 on the front, with a red-yellow-red cockade above. Intact black leather liner with a pull-down pliable leather chinstrap. I am not 100% sure this is Belgian, however it certainly is of the era and very French in design. Similar examples are illustrated in the collection of the New York Public Library Digital Collection. Normal age and wear, no real issues.
