Original era publication. A nice old 3-volume set of books pertaining to the awarding of British medals during the Crimea, Indian Mutiny and Egypt prior to about 1860. Original covers with gilt decoration, inside volume I are early color plates of the Crimea Medal, Distinguished Conduct Medal, Sardinian Meda. Volume II, Military General Service Medal, Waterloo Medal, Talavera Medal and Cape Medal. Volume III, Mutiny Medal, Seringapatam Medal, Guznee Medal, and others. Likely published prior to 1870, as the latest medal mentioned are the medals for China. All are sound for their age, Volume three has some loose pages in the front with tearing to the spine.
