New publication. PB, Reprint of the War Office Intelligence Division report in 1889 by Colonel H.E.Colville, Grenadier Guards. Official history of the attempt by the British Government to rescue General Gordon and relieve the siege of Khartoum and defeating the Dervish Army of the Mahdi and Osman Digna. Gordon of course was killed and Khartoum ultimately fell despite their best efforts.  Detailed accounts of the Nile Expedition and the Camel Corps of the Desert Column and all activities undertaken including the battles of El Teb, Tamai, Abu Klea and more. 3 Volumes.
