Original era manufacture. An Imperial German era quality manufacture bayonet, made for export. Polished steel blade, with an upswept quillon and steel pommel, sound, original finish wooden grips.The blade surface is smooth, with scattered spots of staining from old cleaned surface corrosion. There are a few shallow nicks in the edge of the blade spine near the guard. WKC Solingen marked on the ricasso.Very nice black leather bodied scabbard with a white stenciled number 27. Brass scabbard throat and chape.
