Original era manufacture. 25 inch polished steel blade without fullers, old cleaned corrosion near the tip with scattered spotting and staining elsewhere. Maker marked T.GILL (Thomas Gill, Birmingham, 1774-1826) on the spine. Brass guard and backstrap with a leather wrapped grip.
