A fine quality, cased 6th plate image of a British Rifle Volunteer circa 1860.The soldier is shown turned slightly to the left, wearing plumed shako, crossbelt across his chest and clasping in both hands the upper portion of his rifle. On his hip can be clearly seen the hilt of his bayonet.
