Original era manufacture. A rigid body forage cap covered in blue-black wool, with a gold wire braid and rosette on the top. Piped in gold wire around the crown, with a wide band of gold wire braid on the front edge of the patent leather visor.Wide, tan Moroccan leather sweatband, with a quilted maroon silk lining with a faded makers logo in gilt topped with a crown. Scattered mothing to the body of the hat, and there is evidence of an emblem once being affixed to the front, in the form of a faded outline and loose threads. Mothing to the bottom edge of the hat as well. The body is not crushed or broken, and while certainly showing its age and this point, is still sound for display.
