Original era manufacture. Standard pattern officers sword with a brown pigskin leather covered field scabbard. The blade is Wilkinson marked on its ricasso and has the serial number 60211 stamped into the spine which indicates a manufacture year of 1924. George V cypher on the steel basket guard with areas of old cleaned surface corrosion. The steel blade is fairly straight having a slight bend about two inches from the point. Typical etched panels on each side of the blade with the initials I.B.F. on the obverse side. Light amount of cleaned surface corrosion, overall the blade is clean looking. There is an original leather knot around the grip but it has broken, looks repairable though. Pigskin covered scabbard with its original frog and attaching straps. There is an old tape repair near the tip now yellowed from age.
