Original era manufacture. Plated steel blade measuring 32 inches in length, etched panels on each side, runs fairly straight and true except for a slight drift to the right about 2 inches back from the point. No maker or retailer name, only a six-pointed star with a brass "proved" disc. Plated steel basket guard with George V cypher. Fish skin wrapped grip bound with triple strand wire. Wrapped around the guard is a complete leather knot. Leather covered wooden bodied scabbard with it's original leather belt hanger in place. Not an expensive sword back in the day but this one has survived nicely over the years.
