Original era manufacture. A WWI pattern cloth trench cap, made of olive brown wool, with a matching material visor. Attached to the front is a darkened brass emblem for the Kings Royal Rifle Corps, and below, a black painted, adjustable leather chinstrap, secured with two small brass general service buttons.The interior of the hat is lined in a white cotton material with a thin leather sweatband. There is a small tear and scuff towards the front part of the sweatband, and the lining shows staining from wear. No moth damage to report and the cap is quite sound, large size too, about a 7 1/4.
