Original era manufacture. Bronze star with original ribbon, awarded by Queen Victoria to General Roberts and his troops, who in August of 1880, participated in the epic 300 mile forced march from Kabul Afghanistan to relieve the British garrison besieged at Kandahar.The medal is in very sound, original condition and is complete with its original ribbon. Named on the reverse to Sepoy Jusbeer Thappa, 4th Goorka Rgt. 644 men Under the command Colonel F.F. Rowcroft. A wonderful old medal from a very distinguished regiment.
