Original era manufacture. A pair of nicely carved cow bone napkin rings, produced by a Boer POW on the island of St.Helena during the Boer War. Each measures about 50 mm  in height, with 20 mm opening. During the Boer War 1899-1902, around 6,000 Boer POW's were held on the island of St. Helena. Minor chipping to the edges, with a nice age patina finish.
