Original period manufacture. Fairly current production number 161 of 250 produced. A plaque placed on the base reads, "Model cannon made in the Castle workshops from ancient oak roof timber recalling the 3 year siege of Skipton Castle in The Civil War 1642 - 1645". Work began on Skipton Castle in 1090, and remains one of the best preserved Medieval castle's in England. Overall length measures 8.75 inches, fairly complete, missing the ramrod and some small cannonballs.
