Original era photography. A sepia image by Maull & Polyblank of London, the subject being the Prince George, The Duke of Cambridge. During the Crimean War he was present at the battles of Alma, Balaclava, Inkermann and the Siege of Sebastopol. In 1856 he became the commanding general of the army. Shown wearing the 1856 pattern uniform, with his four-clasp Crimea meal on his chest.
