Original era manufacture. This is definitely a restoration project, but has lots of potential. The overall length is 15 inches, with a brass barrel and lock, 15 mm muzzle opening, London marked on the top of the hexagonal barrel, with two proofs close by. The brass trigger guard, and other stock embellishments, display a high degree of talent in their execution. Nicely carved pistol grip as shown. The frizzen cover works properly, and the hammer will lock into the firing position, and it appears there was a hammer lock mechanism installed on the side plate. Ok, that was the good, now the bad. There are several screws missing, the upper jaw of the hammer with tightening screw is missing, the front end of the fore stock is missing, in addition to a thin sliver of wood on theright top side next to the barrel. One final bit of good news is that no one has cleaned this old pistol to a fare thee well, original patina throughout. A neat old gun with good bones.
