Original era manufacture Standard issue medal with a dated reverse. Sgt William McLennan 1702, Seaforth Highlanders, Egypt 1882. Dark silver patina, minor edge bumping, with contact marks from his Khedive Star. Replacement ribbon.Comes with copies of medal rolls and other research. McLennan served in Canada in the 1870's and was also entitled to the medal for Afghanistan.The Seaforth Highlanders advanced on the south side of the canal during the battle of Tel El-Kebir. A nice old medal from a famous Highland Regiment.
