Original era publication. "The Fight at Dame Europa's School", is the title of this small format book of 34 pages. I haven't taken the time to read the text, however the illustrations spare no one from the barbs of Nast's political wit, King Wilhelm of Prussia, Napoleon III, John Bull of England, all feel the heat.Thomas Nast is regarded as the father of the American political cartoon, and credited with creating the image of modern Santa Claus and the elephant of the Republican Party. This little 130 year old book is very sound, with no damage, printed in London.
