Original era manufacture. All steel construction with an even, bright patina finish, no corrosion issues. The overall length is 20.30 inches, the blade itself 15.75 inches, socket 3.9 inches, with no visible markings anywhere on the bayonet. L-shaped cut out in the socket, with a steel spring which prevents the bayonet from being knocked away by a horseman, this is secured with a screw on the rim.
