Original era manufacture. A clean example measuring 21 inches overall, with a 17 inch blade. The muzzle opening at the base of the socket measures 24 mm, and at the top 23 mm. The markings on the blade are as follows; 12 (possible 12th Foot, Suffolk Rgt), a crown over a letter B with 10 below, and in faint script above the base of the blade, is what appears to be the name of John Horsley. A very solid example of a 200 year old bayonet, certainly worthy of further research.
