Original era photography. British hand tinted 1/6th plate Ambrotype of soldier with matt and preserver. Interesting advertising on the reverse.The individual is shown wearing the 1856 pattern tunic, with white buff leather belt and percussion cap pouch. On his head he wears the enlisted pattern forage cap; on a photographers table is his 1856 pattern enlisted shako.The entire image has been attractively tinted by the photographer.
