Original era manufacture. Bronze Khedive Star with an 1884 date. Impressed reverse, 2529 Pte Thomas Handby 1st Y&L R. Traces of the original darkened finish remain, short length of old ribbon.The medal comes with copies of medal rolls which shows Handby qualifying for the Egyptmedal with clasps for the battles of El Teb and Tamaai during the Sudan Campaign of 1884.
