Original era manufacture. Removable Sergeants chevron of four individually sewn stripes on dark blue wool backing. Black oilcloth reverse, with remnants of elastic attaching strips. Nine metal badges bearing the Boys Brigade insignia and motto, Sure Stedfast. Founded in Glasgow in 1883 by William Alexander Smith. Groups of this organization can be found all over the world. Their goal was to combine drill, fun and other activities with Christian values.
