Original era manufacture. A clean example with a dermatite pistol grip and a large all steel basket guard. The polished steel blade measures 35 inches in length, with  assorted markings to be seen on both sides of the ricasso, including the name of Wilkinson. The all steel scabbard shows remnants of an old brown surface paint, mostly on the throat and suspension rings. This matches a similar paint found on the interior and exterior of the guard. Darkish hue to the blade surface, with a dark, 3 inch section just above the guard, of cleaned surface corrosion. Overall the sword is in sound condition, the blade fits the scabbard properly, but is a bit reluctant to draw. Perhaps due to some sort of waxy substance in the bottom of the scabbard.
