Original era manufacture. A very fine example of a cased set of Royal Navy officers full dress uniform accoutrements. The lot consists of the following; matched epaulettes, Fore & Aft hat, dress sword belt and an oilskin sword cover.The hat and sword belt are marked Gieves Limited, which matches the brass shield on the top of the storage box. All of the components are in very sound  for their age, displaying minor wear and use.The hat displays some minor fraying to the gilt wire trim on the top of the hat, and a few wire strands on the right side epaulette fringe have come loose but no unraveled.Named on the top to Lt. CDR J.G. Long R.N. in three places. Good research project.
