Original era manufacture. Polished steel blade measuring 22.75 inches in length, with a Queens crown proof. The blade is quite clean, no corrosion issues with very light staining from age.Pressed leather grips secured with steel rivets, short slot for the bayonet mounting stud.Black leather bodied scabbard with a steel throat and chape, surface pitting to the steel throat. The blade is too long for thescabbard, and the tip protrudes slightly through the bottom plate of the chape. Shrinkage? otherwise the blade fits the scabbard quite well.
