Original era manufacture. A very well made sword with a polished steel blade measuring 32.5 inches in length. The combat quality blade runs straight and true, with etching on each side of the blade, with a thick white buff leather bumper at its base.Massive brass guard, with a light infantry insignia of German silver set into the face of the basket, and a German silver backstrap and pommel.Black fishskin grip bound with triple strand copper wire.This is an excellent quality sword in very nice condition, but missing its scabbard.
