Original era manufacture. Regulation pattern short sword featuring a 22 inch polished steel blade with a sawback spine. Maker marked MOLE on the ricasso. There is evidence of an old cleaning on the blade surface but overall it is very clean and presentable. Brass grip and guard with unit markings and what appears to be a date of 1890. Very nice original black leather scabbard with sound stitching and another date stamp on the brass throat of 5.1894.
