Original era manufacture. A very sound example of a British sword bayonet, pattern of 1856/60 with the muzzle ring bushed to 18mm  for the Martini-Henry rifle. Bright clean blade with minor age staining and no corrosion issues. Pressed leather grips secured with steel rivets, the locking spring being secured with a screw instead of a rivet. Sound black leather scabbard, with scattered crazing to the surfaces but no cracks or creases in the leather itself. Some of the stitching has disappeared but the seam has not widened.
