Original era manufacture. A very sound example with a bright 21.5 inch blade (23 inches to the base of the socket) with no corrosion issues, just some very light graying in spots. Nice mix of blue and steel patina finish to the socket with an intact locking ring. Sound black leather scabbard mounted with brass rivets, throat and tip and intact stitching. Numerous markings to be seen on the base of the blade with what appears to be a date of 8/85.18mm muzzle ring opening.
