Original era manufacture. Handsome sword bayonet with a 18.5 inch polished steel blade without fullers. The blade surface is clean with some age staining near the tip. In Kiesling's book "Bayonets of the World" a similar example is illustrated on page 522, figure 375, which is identified as the Mk3. Checkered black leather grips, polished steel guard and bird head pommel, lock button works properly. Sound, black leather bodied scabbard with a brass chape and throat instead of steel which is called for in Kiesling, stitching is intact.
