Original era manufacture. British post WWI Highland Officers tunic, identified to F.C.Q. Irvine. Manufactured by Farrell & Sons Ltd, Camberley. Nice quality olive wool twill material with a slightly different shade, matching material belt. Three rank stars on each shoulder strap for a Captain. The tunic is in very clean condition, no real moth issues to report (they all seem to have something) and about a size 36. Online research courtesy of Find My Past and Ancestry, show listings for a Major F.C.Q. Irvine in 1952 (Ancestry) and a Major F.C.Q. Irvine as being dangerously ill on 12 January 1945. In each instance the regiment stated is the Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders. This tunic displays Gordon Highlander buttons throughout, so at some point in the past it has been repurposed by someone, either to wear or display.
